Historic launch! – The Artemis II lifts off from launch pad 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The historic and risky lunar venture will mark the first time astronauts have returned to the vicinity of the moon in more than 50 years. The mission could break the distance record set by the Apollo program, travelling farther from Earth than any human ever has. The crew includes NASA’s Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch along with the Canadian Space Agency’s Jeremy Hansen. 🎉
